After the End of the World

After procrastinated for like centuries, I had finally decided to update a bit. The reason for procrastination? Oh well, I am lazy to sign in, all those hassles turn me off. Looks like my enthusiasm for blogging has been reduced tremendously. Put that aside, what should I be writing today?

Lets see, I survived the end of the world, how amazing. In fact I had to work during the end of the world while the others may be hiding themselves inside a vault made with nokia 3310. I once read about a new regarding an old lady stocked up plenty of supplies such as mineral water, canned food, toiletries and etc in her house. The word "plenty" here is not plain plenty, it is PLENTY, until all the rooms in a double story house were full with those supplies. How naive, in my opinion, you are going to die anyway, if the end of the world really comes, the only difference you make is that you die with many supplies with you.

Ok enough with the end-of-the-world craps, let talk about normal stuff. After months of waiting and expecting, I finally get to go to Sabah on the 2nd Jan 2013. It was a 5 days trip and I had lots of fun, especially the water activities. We went to the airport around 7.30am, which was late and I was pretty worried, because my flight was 1 hour earlier than the rest of my friend, forever alone it seems. Fortunately, we made it in time and i managed to board without any problems.

On the first day, we went to Tanjung Aru to check out the seaview, after we had checked in and settled our luggages. The resort is quite luxurious, especially there is a place for people to sit down and chill while watching the view, quite enjoying. First day ended up normal, as we dint had time for others.

On the second day, we went to Pulau Sapi in the morning and Pulau Manukan after that. Had lots of fun there, with activities such as snorkeling, water sports and etc. Syok for the whole day. At night we had seafood as our dinner, that is a must, since we are in kk.

We had a different plan on the third day. The plan was to go to hotspring in the afternoon and our friend's house in Ranau to BBQ at night. It was my first time in hotspring, not bad though, except the feeling of my balls getting cooked every time i enter the tub. After the BBQ, we played circle of death and everyone had fun with all those lame punishments haha.

On the forth day, we left Ranau and proceed to cow farm as well as kinabalu park. The cows over there were having natural aircond 24/7 as the farm was located above sea level. I get to drink the fresh milk and it was good (ofcuz i paid for that). Too bad we dint get a chance to involve in extracting the milk, because we were 2 hours early. We decided to go to the next destination, kinabalu park to check out the view. We dint get to check out much because it was drizzling on that day, just taking pictures in the resorts.

On the fifth day, we visited crocodile farm in Tuaran and it was interesting.it is the first time i ever see a real crocodile and the stunt show as well. At the same time i get to try crocodile meat baqua also, despite being quite expensive, RM9 for 1 piece. Unfortunate event after that made our last day turn sour. It turned out that our van was broke in while we were in the crocodile farm and my friend lost her handbag and another friend of mine lost his dslr camera bag. Originally we planned to go somewhere else after the crocodile farm but had to cancelled due to this unfortunate event. All of us ended up in the Kundasang police station to make report. Luckily my friend carries her IC with her all the time, if not more troublesome stuff gonna happens.

After we settled the report, we went back to Tanjung Aru again as our last destination before we went back. Different feeling from the last time because the time was different. After 1 hour+, we went back to airport again and off to KL.

Throughout this whole trip, I had lots of fun!!!! I am looking forward for the next 1 in the future :)

PS: There are pictures but all of them were on fb and i am lazy to dl haha

Screwed

Result was released yesterday and like everyone else, my heartbeat increased to the max when i decided to take a look. I knew I kinda screwed everything up in this sem, and while waiting for the page to be loaded, i was restless and worried about my result, especially ASM. I started to view my result with the gambler's way, which is to see one by one.

Scrolling down steadily, the first subject to popped up was critical reading and thinking, I got a B-, kinda disappointed because i was expecting at least B+, part of the reason i think was because of the coursework, which i believed it could be higher, oh well, gotta choose teammates wisely next time. When i scrolled down even further, I was shocked. The only word that keep repeating in my brain was FUCK FUCK FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK. I failed my ASM, for the first time I failed in these 2 years of study. The biggest problem that leads to this result is definitely the lecturer for her incompetency to come out with better questions. Now i have to see her again NEXT YEAR, how suck is that. After seeing ASM, my mood was gone and i just scrolled to the bottom, dun even bother anymore and fortunately, i dint failed the rest, phew.

After cursing for a while, the second thing that worried me was my GPA and CGPA. Thank god they were more than 2.0 and my ptptn was saved.

This result just slapped me left and right and i hope the lazy part of me is been grounded so that I could get better result for next sem. Seriously, i cant allow any failure anymore.

PS: I dont think it is a good idea to tell my parents about that lol

Mon Kiara Apartments & Condos Rentals

These few days I had been doing nothing but surfing internet. After reading an article regarding properties in KL, i decided to google it to kill some time. I am particularly interested with areas such as Hartamas and Mont Kiara, as these areas are quite new and the price of the properties over there are skyrocketing in these few years. The other reason is these areas are quite secure, in terms of security, since we all know how "excellent" the security in KL is. I went to this website called PropWall to search for Mont Kiara and pooffff, damn lots of info pops out.

There are many types of properties that are for rent and we can have a glimpse of those properties with the picture posted together with the info given.

info of various properties that are for rent

More info can be obtained if you are interested with a certain property by clicking the link of that property.

more photos of the property can be viewed as a reference

More basic info such as renting price, property size, description and other relevent info are given as a reference.

I checked out quite a number of properties in Mont Kiara and most of them are quite expensive, i mean for people like graduates including me. It is almost impossible for me to stay in one of those places in these few years but nevertheless, the design of those properties is quite elegent. Some properties were designed and built in such a way that their owners will be able to indulge themselves in serenity. I mean this is quite an enjoyment as we all know that most of the white- collars face heavy stress during work and a place to relax is definitely a must to replenish their exhauting spirit in order to move on.

If you are interested with the properties in Mont Kiara, you will be able to find out more in Mont Kiara Rentals.

At last!

It has been too long since i had updated this place, I got caught up with tons of assignments, tutorials, activities preparation and of course revision. I started to feel the pressure from this sem onwards, as the subjects are getting heavier and harder.

This afternoon I had my last paper for this sem and hell yeah, holidays! Today's paper is the worst i had taken compared to those 5 papers that i had taken. This is the first time i actually enraged by the way the questions were set. I mean, come on, a statistical paper should be like testing the ability of the students to calculate, not to prove those stupid algrebras and formulas. The worse has yet to come. She even made the questions in such as way that we gotta find every single farking values in 2 hours, wtf!!!!
this is what i felt during the test

Alright, screw that paper and the lecturer for making me emo for 2 hours. I hope that i can get at least B- so that i can get exempted for the external paper. I dun wanna see that lecturer ever again.

Next tuesday i am going to Langkawi! Finally can relax myself at the beach, checking out the girls, if there are any lol. It is a 3 days and 2 night trip and we are going to have a chivas partayyyyyyyyy! Gonna be a wild nite haha

till then, see ya folks XD

iBilik - KL Rooms for Rent

It is always a headache to find a suitable room in KL especially for new university or college students. Seniors will most probably have no trouble as they already blend in the surrounding and could easily find info regarding any room available from friends. How about those juniors who just enrolled? Me myself also having this problem of finding the right room in setapak for studying purpose in UTAR, despite being a KL-rian. Fortunately I have a friend that rented me a room though. I believe using the correct source of information does helps a lot especially for students form other states. It is very hard for them to come themselves to check out the price and location. Therefore, the most suitable online source will be none other than iBilik.

Some of us might came across with the term iBilik before and probably never bother about it. There are some advertisement regarding iBilik as well, for instance, it was printed on the taxi's boot.

 look familiar?

There are many info regarding room available in iBilik across Malaysia and is easy to be excessed as well. We can actually type in location in the search engine provided at the homepage or select the location provided on the right hand side of the homepage as well. For example, if you are interested with the room in KL, by clicking "Kuala Lumpur", more details will be shown and there is a bar which lists down specific areas available in KL. In my opinion, iBilik did a good job by categorising its information into groups that provides convenience to its visitors.

as you can see, there is a list of location on the right for borwsing purposes

after clicking a location, for example Kuala Lumpur, information about available rooms for rental will be shown with some basic info such as location, description and price. Note that on the left, there is another list of location available in KL as well. For example, if I want to find a room in Kepong, all i need to do is to click "Kepong" in the list

more specific areas in Kepong will be shown and it helps us a lot by saving time. If the visitor is interested to know more about a specific room, just click the link posted and more info will be revealed as shown by the picture below:

the description is the highlighted box. There is contact or email provided if anyone is interested to rent the room

That is basically how it works in iBilik. In my personal opinion, iBilik does help out a lot especially for students from other states. For those who are interested to find some room, be it working or studying, iBilik is one of the good source for this.

New Face for Christmas Eve

Finally I got a new face for this blog after so long. It is always so troublesome to copypaste back those codes in the template.

Anyway, my internship is coming to an end next week and i can stop waking up so damn bloody early every morning and ended up taking a nap in the office next month onward. Cant help it, my eyes are more important than my work, hoho.

I had been thinking about the decision of taking up my current company's offer and i always ended up regretting it because it is not really related to what i had learned and studied. Only my Business Accounting knowledge has been applied in my work, not actuarial stuff like amortisation, interest rate etc. So i am kinda envy my friends that are having their internship in banks. Banks are my first choice. I should had went for the HSBC and ffk-ed my current company, oh well, too late regretting it. Gotta be optimistic! At least I got some new friends haha.Shut up, I am trying to console myself and make me feel better LOL.

Today is Christmas Eve and here I am, blogging and tetris-ing on fb, to lifeless. I think most probably tomorrow will be lifeless to. Somehow I emo about that, because of someone. Nevermind that, I will just rot at home then.

Thats a little updates of me for now, more will come, if what i wish will be granted after 31/12/2011 XD

A food journey to Onde Onde Restaurant!

Whenever I read the newspaper and come across with those food reviews by famous fellas, I think it is kinda cool to eat all those delicious food and best thing is, FOC! And so, I was kinda surprised and excited when i received a mail last wednesday from Mr Syed Abdul Muiz, thee manager of Onde Onde restaurant located at Water front, desa park city thanks to Michelle Leong. It is still kinda unbelievable that i got this chance to go for a food review event.

On thursday, me, michl and her sis went to the restaurant around 7.20pm.A brief introduction was given by Mr Muiz regarding the restaurant and the food. The restaurant was designed in baba nyonya style to give customers a different feeling. There are many variety of food from different places on the list, such as Penang Prawn Mee, baba nyonya food etc.

We were served with beverages, roti bakar and kuih as our starter. The cucumber drink is kinda special as the ingredients used are the Japan cucumbers, asam boi and lime, very refreshing indeed.
the starters! the onde onde and i forgot the name for the other kuih lol
rate: 4/5
the roti bakar! It tastes good! Duck eggs were used as the ingredient of the kaya to bring out the aroma of the kaya and make it smoother
rate: 4/5
the coffees and the cucumber drink. I like the coffee :)
rate: 4/5

After that, we were served with Zhu Cheong Fan, Asam Laksa, Penang Prawn Mee and combo set as our main dishes, sagu and cendol as our dessert.

Main Dishes:
Zhu Cheong Fan: a flatter zhu cheong fan was used instead of the typical round and thick 1. The sauce used had Har Gou as one of the ingredient. This is the first time I had this food, so it tasted quite ok
rate: 4/5
Asam Laksa: One of my favourite food!!! In my opinion, it was too sweet for me as I am used to light taste kinda food. The sour was there but it was not sour enough to make me crave for more. Overall it is average for my standard
rate: 3/5
Prawn Mee: Overall it tasted good, but it is not spicy enough.
rate: 3/5

Combo set: In the set, there are popiah, fried rice with scrambled egg and curry laksa. The fried rice tasted good but it was a bit oily. Besides that, the curry laksa was average for me, as it was not spicy enough.
rate: 3/5

Desserts:
I forgot the name of this dessert, anyway the ingredient was the sagu and with the mixture of santan and gula malacca. It was delicious!
rate: 4/5

the best of all, durian cendol!!!! this cendol is so delicious!!
 rate: 4.5/5

My stomach was so full after the last dessert. In my opinion, the desserts served here are very good. Another place to be considered besides Jonker 88. I am not saying Jonker 88 is not good, it is just too far to go and quite impossible for us to go whenever we crave for cendols. Thanks again to Mr Muiz for his invitation!

ps: this is my first food review though, so please be lenient to me lol
